Mark Glenn Teubner

November 18, 1948 to August 13, 2026

Mark Glenn Teubner passed into the loving arms of his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on August 13, 2026.

Mark was a true native of Texas. Born and raised in Dallas, he modeled the boy in an elementary school primer, Susan’s Happy Year, much to his chagrin. In high school, he began his love of golf. Mark graduated from the University of Texas– Austin (Hook ‘em Horns) in 1970 and spent most of his life in the Houston area. After earning a BA in Math, Mark spent four years in the Air Force based in Colorado Springs where he earned an award for Outstanding Airman of the Year 1971. The next 30 years were spent working as a computer programmer analyst for a number of companies, most prominently Tenneco Inc. where he met his wife of 45 years.

In retirement, Mark volunteered with various area hospitals, animal shelters, Interfaith Ministries Food for Seniors program and was a longtime volunteer at KHCB Christian Radio. Mark was an active member of Jersey Village Baptist Church (The Church @ Jersey Village) and worked at the Church’s Food Pantry. He also served as usher, taught 3‑year‑olds in the church community and participated in the church’s program Journey to the Cross for several years.

Mark’s favorite pastimes were feeding ducks and playing golf. Making a hole‑in‑one gave him bragging rights for years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Foster Teubner, his sister‑in‑law, Becky Teubner, niece Sarah Teubner Helms (Kody) and numerous in‑laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Elizabeth Teubner, and his brother, Michael Teubner.
