Michael Douglas Morrison

Michael Douglas Morrison, of Houston, Texas, passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 69.
Michael was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Richard Paul Morrison Sr. and Betty Jean Rogers Morrison. He was raised on a farm, where he developed his strong work ethic and love for the outdoors. He showed horses growing up and was an accomplished athlete, becoming the #1 wrestler in the state of Indiana during his high school years.
Michael attended Purdue University, earning a degree in Chemistry while working his way through college by landscaping. In 1980, he met Debra Suzanne Keen Morrison, and after one date they knew they had found something special. They married in 1982 and built their life together in Houston, Texas.
Michael dedicated his career to Seismic Exchange Inc., where he worked from 1990 until his retirement. He was a devoted father who loved sharing his passions with his children. He coached Caitlin in Tae Kwon Do from ages 5 to 13, traveling throughout the continental United States for competitions and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Known for his dry sense of humor, quick wit, and artistic talent, Michael brought creativity and laughter into the lives of those around him.
Michael is survived by his children and grandchildren. Caitlin and Connor; and his four grandchildren. He will be remembered for his perseverance, humor, creativity, and the love he shared with his family.
