Sara Joy Angell

Sara Joy Angell was born on February 27, 1952, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to John Henry Angell and Anita Joy Beasley. She passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved nephew, Joshua Angell.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John Lang; her daughter, Deana Muncrief Crona, and son in law, Robert; and her cherished grandsons, Kristian Crona and his wife Audrey, and Kyle Crona. She is also survived by her brothers, Steve Angell and his wife Carye Lou, and John Angell and his wife Stormie; her nephews, Eric Angell and his wife Shana, John Angell and his wife Kary; her nieces, Amanda Angell and Kim Bertrand and her husband Derrick; as well as several great nieces and great nephews and one great-grandniece.
Sara lived life as an adventure. She loved traveling the world, always seeking out exotic destinations where she could scuba dive and explore new cultures. After returning to the United States, she continued to approach every place she lived as a new chapter worth embracing. She enjoyed watching the Diamondbacks during their World Series run, traveled to Seattle to cheer on the Mariners, and faithfully journeyed back and forth to Houston to attend every possible activity for her grandsons.
Eventually, Sara settled in Seguin, Texas, where she made her home along the river, surrounded by many dear friends. Whether traveling across continents or enjoying quiet moments near the water, Sara found joy in connection, curiosity, and family. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her deep love for her family, and the many lives she touched along the way.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 5th at Beach Pavilion #1 in Carlsbad from 4:00–6:00 pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to join.
