Larry lived a life of hard work, faith, and devotion. Larry was born in Wills Point, Texas, to Forrest and Mabel Martin. He was the youngest of seven children. He later served in the U.S. Air Force as a gunner in the Korean War and was the youngest member of the Strategic Air Command. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved bringing his family together.
He is remembered for his strength, steady love, and faithfulness — especially in caring for his wife through her long illness.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paddy Martin; his loving daughter, Donna Jo Rose; and his great-grandson, Jameson Clements.
He is survived by his children: Jack and Cheryl Martin; Steve and Angela Martin; Peggy Martin and Marvin Hall; Kerry Rose; Tim and Denise Martin; Jonathan Martin and Martina Steele.
He leaves a long legacy in his grandchildren: Shannon & Jason Quisenberry; Jaclyn & Jeremy Underwood; Jennifer & Grant Isaminger; Stephanie & Jason Clements; B’linda & Elliott Irby; Ben & Kym Martin; Tony & Stephanie Rose; Katie & James DeLeon; Joey & Audrey Rose; Kaley & Bradley Sweet; Natalie Martin; and Zackary Martin.
He also greatly loved his 26 great-grandchildren and extended family, who will cherish his memory.
