Lessie Jean Williams, a radiant soul known for her infectious laughter and compassionate spirit, departed this life on November 30th, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on May 2nd, 1968, in Villeplatte, Louisiana, she was the cherished daughter of Roy Green Sr. and Ezola Wilson. Lessie spent her early years in Villeplatte and Dequincy before setting her sights on new horizons in Houston, Texas, where she would create a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

A proud graduate of Villeplatte High School, Lessie's career in nursing and home health care spoke volumes about her character. Driven by a genuine desire to help others, she dedicated her life to caring for those in need, a calling that she embraced wholeheartedly. In her later years she began working many different professions in her life, learning new trades. Lessie was a strong hard working woman. It was this compassion that endeared her to many, as she brought joy not only to her families she cared for but also to her own family and friends through her selfless acts of kindness and love.

Family gatherings were a highlight of Lessie's life, where she shone as the fun firecracker of the party. You could ALWAYS catch her in the kitchen at every single family event, helping in every way. She loved her family unconditionally. Her infectious love and zest for life made every event memorable, filling the room with uncontrollable laughter and fun. Those moments will be forever cherished by her family, as they remember her love for fun and her unwavering support during family events.

Lessie was a devoted mother to her five beautiful children: Johnathon, Jasmine, Shaquinthia, Patrick, and Aniyah, who were her greatest accomplishments and the pride of her heart. She raised them to be strong, great adults/parents. She adored her six grandchildren: Ameria, Caiden, RejaNae, Chase, DJ, and baby Johnathon, showering them with love and joy that will resonate throughout their lives. They loved their “Mimi”.

Her strong bond with her siblings is a testament to the love that permeated her life. Lessie is survived by seven brothers: Landris Green, Charles Green, Paul J. Green, James Roy Green, Roy Green Jr., Joseph Lee Green, and Phillip Wilson Green, as well as three sisters: Margaret Ward, Rita Green, and Laura Green. Each shared in her laughter and supported her unwavering faith—a rock that grounded her as she navigated life's challenges.

Lessie's relationship with God, which began at a young age, was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. Her faith was a light guiding her through the darkest moments, and on that peaceful Sunday, Lessie heard the voice of God inviting her home with open arms, saying, "Come, I will give you rest."

Lessie is welcomed in heaven by her Mother Ezola Wilson, Father, Roy Green Sr and husband Johnathon Williams Sr.

She leaves behind a host of loving family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and bonus children who called her “Momma Lessie”, as well as friends whose lives she touched in immeasurable ways. While the world may feel a little dimmer without her, the legacy of love, joy, and vibrant spirit that Lessie Jean Williams imparted will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her sweet loud laughter and the countless memories will live on as a reminder of the importance of family, love, and joy of living life to the fullest.
