Harry G Reynolds III
August 21, 1951 to June 03, 2025
Harry G Reynolds III was born on August 21, 1951, in Houston, Texas to Ada and Harry Reynolds. He was a proud graduate of Kashmere Gardens High School, where he was already known for his quiet strength and easy smile. I remember it well—he was my date to prom. Life took us in different directions after graduation in 1969, but the story God was writing for us wasn’t finished yet.
Harry went on to earn his degree in Engineering from Texas A&M. He was smart, hardworking, and grounded—everything he did, he did with purpose. He started his professional life in newspaper distribution and worked in his family’s business, Reywood Realty. But what I admired most was his heart—how he carried so much resilience through the hardships he faced.
In 1986, Harry married Charlotte Fulton, and together they welcomed Charles, his only biological son, into the world in 1987. When Charlotte passed a year later, Harry became a single father—a role he embraced with fierce devotion and unwavering love.
And then, by divine grace, we met again—20 years after high school, at our class reunion. I remember seeing him across the room and thinking how life had come full circle. The spark between us never truly went out. We married on Valentine's Day in 1990—a day filled with love, hope, and the promise of a future we would build together.
Harry had always been a man of deep reflection, but as our life together grew, so did his calling. He answered God's voice and earned his Master’s of Theology from SMU. He served as a youth pastor at Riverside United Methodist Church, where he poured out his love and wisdom into the lives of young people, always ready to listen, guide, and remind them of God’s grace.
Harry never missed an opportunity to testify about how good God is. His faith was unwavering—even when his health began to decline after his stroke in 2009. Through it all, his spirit remained gentle, his humor intact, and his optimism unshaken. He always believed the best in people. He saw potential in everyone. And no matter the weight of his own burdens, he made time to lift the burdens of others.
To me, Harry was home. He was warmth on a cold day, calm in the storm, and love made visible. He taught me the true meaning of devotion—not just in marriage, but in faith, family, and friendship.
To Charles, he was a steady and loving father, proud of the man you’ve become. He carried you in his heart through every joy and every struggle. And I know without a doubt, Charles, that his greatest legacy lives on through you.
Harry passed on June 3, 2025. And though the grief feels heavy now, I take comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace, reunited with loved ones, and walking with God.
Thank you, Harry, for loving me twice in one lifetime. Thank you for showing us all what it means to live with purpose, to love without limits, and to serve with humility.
Rest well, my love. I will carry you with me, always.
