Donna Needham Valdez

April 13, 1962 to January 22, 2025

Donna was born April 13, 1962 to Don and Frances Needham of Houston, TX. She was called home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2025 after a short, but fierce battle with cancer. She is remembered by her loving husband, Michael Valdez, her children, Danielle Engelskirchen with spouse Eric, and Michael Valdez with his spouse Dani, her grandchildren, Ava, William, Beck, Crawford and Mary Collins. Additionally, by her brother David Needham, his wife Ginger and their children, Lindsey, Jason with wife Makenzie, and Kaci; as well as her many extended family members. She will always be remembered for her unwavering faith, bright smile, heart for service and for putting others before herself.  Perhaps most importantly, she will be remembered for her profound love of her family and friends.

Donna’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Foundry Church, 8350 Jones Rd. Houston, TX 77065, on February 8, 2025 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, Donna would love for you to make a donation in her memory to the Dachshund Rescue of Houston in honor of her passionate love she had for them.

Uncle Mike, Danielle, Michael and kids. My heart is broken for you and the family. Speaking to her before she left us was an honor. All she talked about was how proud of you guys she was. Her light will surely be missed abut most of all, her giving to others and the way she made you feel special like you were the only one in the room. I’m going to miss her terribly. She was the best! I love you guys.

It has been my honor to have been part of your life. One of my favorite memories is that of our attempt to make the grooms cake for your wedding. Lots of giggles and hearing your dreams of the future. I’m so glad you had the blessed life you so deserved. Even though we lived 1000+ miles apart, you never failed to respond to the milestones in my life as I hope I was doing for you. I will always remember your laugh. Love and miss you.

To my brother, Danielle, Eric, Michael, Dani and all her precious grandchildren. Your wife, mother and grandmommy loved all of you with all her heart. She always gave of herself without expecting anything in return. Donna was always one of the best in our family. As my Mother always said," She was sent from heaven and had a gold throne awaiting her". Donna, thank you for all the love you gave to our family. We will truly miss your bright smile and loving heart. Rest up girl because Lee, Mom and Fran are going to run your legs off (shopping). We love and miss you already.

Donna was warm, loving, attentive, and thoughtful! Her hugs, our outings, and sweet cards will stay with me for a lifetime! I will always miss her and promise to keep her with us through stories of my short 7 years with her! Love you Donna… say hello to our friends up there with you. I’ll see you again!
