Jonathan " CHEVY" Allen
December 12, 1981 to November 07, 2024
On December 12, 1981, an anxious baby boy entered the world in the most unusual way, in a Chevy, outside of Memorial Hermann Hospital Emergency Room. Born the baby boy of Irish Twins to Anita & Frank Allen Sr, they decided to lovingly name him Jonathan Marcus Allen.
Eager to see the world, the baby boy decided to be born in a car; his family and friends affectionately and playfully call him Chevy. Chevy grew up on the Southside of Houston in the Hiram Clarke area. He attended Windsor Village Elementary, Dowling Middle School, James Madison High School, Westbury high School, and ultimately graduated and received his high school diploma from Gulf Shores Academy in the year 2000. Chevy possessed a natural talent for working with his hands. He could fix almost anything as it pertained to cars, motorcycles, appliances, and things around the house. Chevy had several job adventures, but in 2012, he decided he would become a licensed electrician; mostly working in the commercial and industrial field and dabbling in residential. Chevy was a man of few words, but had a smile that could light up the darkest room. He loved animals, spending time with family, eating desserts lol, camping on the beach, fishing, and crabbing. He had the most loving and giving heart and would do almost anything for anybody. He stood 6’3’ about 260 lbs., and the family referred to him as, “The Gentle Giant”.
Chevy departed this Earth on November 07, 2024. He’s preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Allen, his uncle, Mark Strothers, and two of his closest friends, Termaine “ Pokey” Harris, and Justin “ Big Jay” Harris.
Chevy leaves loving, lasting, impressions, and memories in the hearts of his three children, Da’Drian Allen, Ariel Hall, and Nakira Pinkney – Nash, his mother and father, Frank & Anita Allen, his big brother Frank Allen II, grandparents, John & Adelaide Strothers, his ex -wife and best friend, Jessica Pinkney – Allen, two nephews Frank (B) & Tyree, his niece Payton, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
