Kassler Wayne Padgett

September 21, 2005 to March 10, 2022

Kassler Wayne Padgett, age 16, of Huffman, TX, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022. Kassler was born September 21, 2005, in the midst of Hurricane Rita, in Houston, TX, to Kimberly Carol and Kyle Wayne Padgett.

Kassler attended all Huffman schools and was currently a sophomore at Huffman Hargrave High School. Kass was a pitcher for the Falcon JV baseball team his freshman and sophomore years. He had also been on the Hargrave fishing team his freshman year. Kassler had been a member of the FFA and raised chickens in his middle school years to sell at auction.  In his elementary years, he participated and won in UIL spelling from 2nd to 4th grade.

Kassler’s greatest passions were hunting and fishing with his family and friends.  He definitely had patience and optimism when it came to fishing, with some of his favorite places to fish being at his Uncle Mical’s, the Read’s ponds in Buffalo, TX, and the canals in the neighborhood with his buddies. He killed his first deer when he was age 13 at Mr. Coy’s deer camp.  This was such a special day for Father and son.  He also just enjoyed riding around and cuttin up on the 4-wheeler.  Kass spent a lot of time playing video games with his friends and cousins as well. He taught himself how to cook and enjoyed frying up some bacon and deer steak for his family. Kassler loved his puppy dogs and enjoyed playing with them.

Kassler, Kass, “Our Bubba”, was witty and charming with a great sense of humor, and just made everything more fun. He was so confident and intelligent, so challenging that he probably would’ve been a great attorney.  He could defend until we almost believed his nonsense. He was that good.

Kassler was a unique individual. He was Kass. He loved all things patriotic and was definitely a “Trump” kind of guy.  Kassler had so many friends he loved and who will greatly miss him. Those friends he made from Huffman Little League grew with him and stayed with him, and he made countless others along the way.

Kassler Wayne’s baby dedication, led by Bro. Robin Butler was on November 20, 2005.  However, he made his own decision to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was born again at the age of 8 years old, and followed in Believers Baptism on December 22, 2013, by Bro. Robin Butler at FBC Crosby.

Kass loved being with his family, and we know we will see our bubba again.  Kassler will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
