On October 22, 2024, laying peacefully in her bed, the angels of the Lord came down and brought Terrys’ soul home. Wolfie was born on April 15, 1963, in New Orleans, LA to Jonoth T. and Annie L. Williams. Terry accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church No. 1 of Algiers, LA. She was educated in the Orleans Parish School System, where she graduated from O. Perry Walker Sr. High School in 1981. Terry also completed her studies, as a Unit Clerk, at Delgado Community College. Ms. Holmes worked at F. Edward Hebert, Touro Infirmary and Children’s Hospitals as a Unit Secretary. After Hurricane Katrina, Terry and her sons relocated to Houston, TX. Terry held several jobs in the Houston area, and she completed a class in the Medical Assistant Program from Everett Community College.
Terry Holmes leaves to cherish her memories: Her sons Edwards Holmes, III, Shaquille Holmes, Sr. and Elijah (Vanessa) Holmes ; Nine sisters, Kathleen Reed, Sybil Williams, Susan Monroe, Patricia (Steven) Charles, Melissa Williams, Melinda Williams, Sandra Williams, Pamela Williams and Martha Pierre; Three brothers, Joseph Bernard, Jerome Williams and Steven (Terri) Williams; Grandchildren LaVante Riley, Makayla Holmes, Camryn Holmes, Shakira Holmes, Shaquille Holmes, Jr., Eli Holmes, Brianna Holmes, and Eryin Holmes; Two bonus grandsons, Kenny Claiborne and Anthony Islas. Three Aunts, Ethel Mouton, Paulette Mayberry Williams and Classie Williams; and Godmother, Jacqueline McElveen-Brown; Thirty-Three Nieces and Nephews; Seventy-Six Great Nieces and Nephews: Twenty Great-Great Nieces and Nephews; as well as a host of family and friends.
Terry Marie Williams preceded in death by her parents: Jonoth T. and Annie L. Williams; son: Eric Holmes; Grandparents: Tommy Lee and Julia Mae Mayberry, Trinity and Martha Williams; Nieces: Joniece Williams, Shondrell Kidd, and Mallori Pierre; Great-Niece: Asia Williams; Great-Nephew: Cornell Williams, Jr.; Brother and Sister-In-Law: Cornelius Monroe and Francis Bernard; Godfather Jerry McElveen and several great aunts, uncles, great uncles, and cousins.
Ms. Terry Marie Holmes will be missed by all whose lives she touched
