David Lopez

February 22, 1950 to October 14, 2024

David was born in the Stann Creek District of Belize, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with love, learning, and service. He began his education at St. Peter Claver Elementary School and later graduated from St. John's College. In September 1968, David migrated to the United States, seeking new opportunities and continuing his education at Forest Park College in St. Louis, Missouri.
In September 1970, David answered the call of duty and joined the U.S. military, proudly serving as an audio specialist. After receiving an honorable discharge, he pursued a career in communications by attending Essex County College. His professional journey saw a brief hiatus from the industry, but his search for fulfillment ended in June 1985 when he joined Industrial Audio/Video Inc. David held various positions, including Sales Support, Sales Representative, Sales Manager, and Vice President. His hard work and leadership led him to the role of President, from which he eventually retired after years of dedicated service.
In July 1990, David married Virginia, and moved to Missouri City, Texas, where they built a life together. A devout member of Holy Family Catholic Church, David was known for his faith and warmth until his health began to decline.
David was more than just a professional and a man of service, he was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a true friend to all.
His passions for traveling, photography, and conversing with people from all walks of life brought richness to his life. He never
met a stranger and cherished every opportunity to connect with
others.
David's legacy of kindness, leadership, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

My friend David, will be missed by many who had the priviledge to know him and to work with him as I did. I can say that he had a great impact on my life as a friend and confident. As one of my vendors while I worked at the University of Houston Downtown, department of Computing/Telecommunications and Video Operations, I got to know David quite well. He left a great impression of calm, collectiveness and methodical thinking in conducting business while developing a lasting friendship. A friendship that lasted beyound work and even after retirement. I will be forever grateful to Jesus for allowing me his life in my path! We pray that his soul restes in peace and that perpetual light shine on him!!
