Lawanda Renee Buckner aged 61, of Houston, Tx passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones. Born on May 30, 1963 in Houston, Tx, Lawanda lived a full and vibrant life that touched many hearts. Lawanda grew up in the Westend where she made many lifelong memories and friends. She attended Booker T. Washington High School. Lawanda was the proud parent of two children: Arielle Payne and Chyna Jade West and the cherished grandparent of three grandchildren: Jada West, Kevin Vital Jr., and Arie’Yon Payne, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Family meant everything to Lawanda, and her kindness, generosity, and wisdom will live on in the memories of those who knew her. Her infectious smile and free to life spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will be remembered by all.
