Ann Findley Skinner

September 17, 1945 to June 10, 2024


Ann Findley Skinner was born September 17, 1945 and moved to Heaven on June 10, 2024. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Millard Murdock“ Babe “ Findley; her mother, Keleta Walters Findley and three brothers, Ray, Charlie and Roger Findley. 

She is survived by her husband, Russell Skinner; son, Clifford Skinner; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and John Mark King.

Ann was born in Conroe, Texas and grew up in Spring, Texas. She graduated from Spring High School in 1964. She attended and graduated from a downtown Houston Business College and started working in downtown Houston.

In 1967 she married Russell Skinner and shortly thereafter quit her job and became a full time housewife. In 1969, Rusell quit his Post Office job and they moved to Old River, Texas and Ann became a full time pastor’s wife of Old River
Assembly of God where she became involved in many of the church’s activities.
After leaving Old River, they worked in several different churches. Ann worked in the children’s church ministry, Kid’s Camp of the South Texas District, and head consular.

In 1982 the Skinner’s moved to Montgomery, Texas where Ann started a resale business. She became well known through out the town by talking and praying for those who might need some help. In later years she developed dementia and a weak heart and spent her last year and nine months bedfast. Many of the health care workers came out of her room saying what a sweet person she was
to them. She went to sleep and woke up in Heaven.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2024 and a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Springs of Living Water, 5901 Treaschwig Road, Spring, Texas 77373. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at New Montgomery Cemetery 408 Old Plantersville Road, Montgomery, Texas 77316. 

Her care has been entrusted to Claire Brothers Funeral Home, 7901 Hillcroft Street, Houston, Texas 77081.

Miss Ann was always so kind and carried a smile of joy on her face. My mama Reba Skinner was so fond of Ann and they always enjoyed sitting together at Skinner family reunions. My heart goes out to Russell and their family: I offer sincere thoughts and prayer to them all.

Sister skinner was a beautiful lady. She taught me alot about how to be a good mother. We love the skinners. May God bless this family and give them joy and peasce!!!
