Miguel Valadez Jr., 38, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife and cherished son, on May 27, 2024. He was born in Houston, Texas on July 19, 1985. Miguel leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity and dedication.

 He is preceded in death by his mother, Sixta Valadez Barajas.

Miguel is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Zamarripa and their son, Miguel Valadez. He is also survived by his father, Miguel Valadez Cano and his siblings: Hector Barajas, Vanessa Valadez-Barajas, Daniel Valadez, Julianna Valadez and Fabian Adolfo Valadez-Barajas.

Miguel, affectionately known as Mike, pursued his passion for art, showcasing his immense talent through tattooing. He dedicated his career to creating meaningful tattoos that touched many lives. Renowned in the tattoo artist community, Mike's friends and clients soon became his extended family. He shared a special bond with his buddies Chris, Javier, Oscar, and everyone at Ai Tattoo.

 In his free time, Mike enjoyed creating various forms of art, such as sketching, painting, and pyrography. His favorite hobbies included Jiujitsu, cycling, archery, and fishing. From a young age, he developed a love for American wrestling and Lucha Libre, eagerly adding to his luchador mask collection.

 Above all, Mike cherished the time spent with his wife and son. He dedicated countless hours to building toys and crafts with his son, enjoying movie nights, sharing a passion for cars, and exploring comic books together. Mike loved to cook and grill for his family and looked forward to creating Halloween costumes for little Miguel.

 Mike will be dearly missed. He was a loving son, brother, father and husband. In loving memory of Miguel Valadez Jr., may his creative spirit and witty humor continue to inspire us all.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Claire Brothers Funeral Home, 7901 Hillcroft Street, Houston, Texas 77081. 

His care has been entrusted to Claire Brothers Funeral Home.
