Dale was a good friend who never forgot his old college buddies and who made sure we all stayed connected over all of these years. We will never forget the guidance he gave to us when we had to landscape our starter home in 1983. Today, two giant oak trees stand where we planted those saplings - as living monuments to our good friend Dale Cox and his kindness. In recent years, as he suffered from declining health, Dale never missed an opportunity to join his friends in celebration of milestone events in their lives. Knowing the debilitating circumstances he faced, we were always happy and amazed to see Dale come through that door. Our prayers and thanks go out to Dale’s devoted wife Norma, his angel on Earth, who made certain that Dale took care of himself (we all knew he could be a little stubborn at times) so that he was able to be there for his friends as long as possible. We will miss you, Dale, and we pray that you will rest in peace forever in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Harv and Dana Sue

Dale was my business partner for more than 20 years. We had a great business relationship, but an even better friendship. I remember thinking of him twice in the week prior to his passing that I needed to call him and catch up. You will be missed greatly, my friend.

Dale was also a man of quiet faith. He believed. One couldn’t have a more fiercely loyal friend than Dale; he had your back. My deepest sympathies to his family. The news that Dale was gone staggered me. We had spoken the day before. He said that both Norma and he were ill but he just didn’t sound that bad. I shall greatly miss celebrating our sports teams’ victories and commiserating when they fell short. Gone too are the thoughts and observations on music, movies and politics. Above it all though, I won’t hear the laughter that colored and punctuated nearly every conversation. Yeah, most of all that. Happy trails old friend.

Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “Jesus plainly told her: I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.
